JOB PURPOSE
In charge of preparing pastry items in compliance with required recipe and food safety standards (HAACCP) and procedure provided by the company
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Check cleanliness of pastry station before starting each shift
2. Prepare pastry products under the direction of Superiors and by Executive pastry chef
3. Assuring preparation of pastry incorrectly followed, granting a high quality and consistency in production
4. Produce a range of alternative pastry products for guest with specific dietary requirements (fat-free, salt-free, sugar-free, etc.)
5. Check temperature and condition of raw materials and refrigerators
6. Discard any potential hazardous food
7. Comply with HACCP Sanitation standards
8. Collect daily, from the F&B Stores, all supplies required for immediate operations
QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)
1. Proficient English, oral and written skills.
2. Proven successful experience for at least 2 contracts in a similar position in a major hotel operating under International Food Safety Standards, Pastry shop or a cruise ship.
VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any)
•Valid passport (at least with 12 months validity before joining)
•STCW95/2010 certification (basic firefighting, personal survival techniques, elementary first aid, personal security and social responsibility, security awareness, passenger ship familiarization) HIGHLY RECCOMENDED but if not in possession of the said will be compulsory before joining the vessel
•If in possession of C1D visa, please specify it
