Requirements

• English: Fluent. Knowledge of any other European language or Mandarin is an advantage.
• Computer-literate in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Extensive experience in a similar position within the cruise industry
• Experience in international sanitation protocols relating to Potable and Recreational Water, Indoor Air Quality, and temperatures of food protection equipment.
• Engineer/architecture/management qualification

• Liaise with Chief Engineer, Staff Captain and Hotel Director in regards of technics and procedures related to maintenance. To make sure that all Guest/Crew Areas and Cabins meet the highest expectation in maintenance standards, including catering areas and equipment.
• Coordinates with the Hotel Director the prioritization and execution of repair and maintenance work in all hotel areas, verifying that product and quality standards are met at all times. Hotel Director to immediately reports any hotel machinery, systems and/or equipment damage or malfunctioning to the Facilities Director and follows up the repair process to completion.
• Schedules weekly meetings with the Hotel Departments to review progress and agree on work prioritization.

Manage Hotel Defect Software (INFOSHIP), assign maintenance and repair task to hers/his subordinate personnel and actively supervise in any repair work.
• Address specific material requisition in accordance with operative ship needs and stores current stock.
• Prepare monthly reports of the Hotel Maintenance Activities, including Hotel Defect Software (INFOSHIP) Flow, purchase orders status, highlighting with a proper alert challenging situations or priorities for granting the onboard services or customer satisfaction.
• Control and supervise external suppliers’ activity when carrying out maintenance works onboard in the Hotel Areas [Guests and Crew]
• Report all activities that need to be planned for Dry Dock.
• Responsible of handling of Master Keys as per SP 04.02.01.01
• Prepare proper and clear Handovers

Inspect all works in progress, and on completion, ensuring that work is executed properly in accordance with MSC standards.
• Ensures the correct maintenance of the vessel for Guest/Crew Public Areas, Restaurants, Bars, Balconies, Guest and Crew Cabins and Galleys, through routine inspections, reporting any nonconformities in writing.
• Checks that the colour schemes, types of paint used, and adequate safety precautions for personnel and equipment is observed. Also ensures that the correct safe disposal of all refuse, rags etc. is observed to avoid fire and other hazards during and after work.
